Mission Statement
The property of Wesley’s Chapel (site, buildings, monuments, furnishings, and collections) has great cultural significance locally, nationally, and internationally. Wesley’s Chapel is committed to making this property accessible o the public, as well as a tool in aid of its work and mission. However, Wesley’s Chapel reserves its moral rights to the publication and reproduction of any of its property. The Chapel also recognizes the economic value of this property, especially when used in reproductions such as in the form of images (whether in still or rolling film, and digital forms), three-dimensional reproductions, and artistic inspiration and expressions. Wesley’s Chapel considers its duty is to ensure that such economic exploitations of its property reap financial benefit to itself. The Chapel will accept donations and / or charge a fee towards providing permission and access to the reproduction of its property.

Access
Filming is by prior arrangement with the trustees of Wesley’s Chapel. Filming will normally occur within chapel office hours (Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm). During chapel office hours areas it will not be possible to close off areas from public access except for a specific short period negotiated in advance. Filming which occurs outside of office hours will be subject to an excess charge. Filming and photography on certain week days and Sundays are limited due to services held on site.

Access rates
Methodist non-profit organisations are invited to agree a donation in advance with the trustees. For other individuals or organisations, the following charging structure applies:

Out of hours rate:

These fees are for standard access. Any additional costs incurred by the managing trustees for allowing filming on the premises will be covered the filming body. All fees must be paid in advance or on the day of the shoot before access will be allowed.

Insurance
The filming body must have insurance to cover their own staff and equipment as well as insurance to cover any damage to or theft of Wesley’s Chapel property caused by the presence of the filming body and/or their equipment. A copy of the insurance certificate must be provided prior to commencement.

Filming and photography rights
A copy of the final product is to be given to Wesley’s Chapel at no cost to its trustees if requested in advance of filming.

All films and images are assumed to be for use in one unsyndicated edition. Any subsequent editions or syndication will require a further fee which will be agreed with the trustees.

The copyright and ownership of the films and/or images held by the individual or organisation signing the filming agreement will not be passed on to any other individual or organisation under any circumstances (e.g. sold, given, inherited, surrendered etc.) without the trustees’ prior consent.

Guidelines for requests to publish images of Wesley’s Chapel’s property
In all circumstances, Wesley’s Chapel must be clearly acknowledged on the product, and a copy of the product must be provided to the Chapel, at no cost to its trustees. Suggested form of acknowledgment would be: “Reproduced with the permission of The Trustees of Wesley’s Chapel, City Road, London.” At the Chapel’s discretion, and after considering the publicity opportunities gained in return for providing permission for reproduction, and any other agreements arranged, the guidelines for charging are:

A. Religious organisations publishing on a non-profit basis:
A donation will be agreed in advance with the trustees.

B. Publication permission and Copyright Fees for images used in printed publications under all other circumstances:

There is a 10% additional charge for images used on the internet or television broadcasts.
All prices quoted in sections A and B are for one edition only. Use of the image in any subsequent editions must be renegotiated with the trustees.
