Christmas at Wesley’s
Half-day visit for Year 2 to Year 6
November 28th until December 18th 2025, early booking recommended!
A special half-day visit to discover the origins of the Christian festival of Christmas:
– Take part in a pop-up nativity in Wesley’s Chapel and learn about the importance of Christmas for Christians
– Explore John Wesley’s candlelit home decorated for Christmas in the Georgian style, and discover the origins of modern Christmas traditions
– Create a festive tree decoration to take home

Please note that part of this session takes place in John Wesley’s House, which has a steep staircase and no lift access.

Half-day visit for Year 1 to Year 4
A half-day introduction to Christian beliefs:
– Find out what happens in a church! Discover Christian beliefs and symbols in the chapel, including the cross, candles, water, dove and bread, and learn what the different parts of a church are used for.
– Explore Christian beliefs and practices through some amazing artefacts in the Museum.
– Make John Wesley’s dove of peace to take home.
